The government is also working to create a single national representative body for women's sheds.
Women's sheds in the midlands are being invited apply for new grant funding.
The government has unveiled a new €100,000 fund to help the women's groups with expenses.
Grants of between €1,000 and €2,000 are available from the Department of Rural and Community Development.
Minister Heather Humphreys - who visited Tullamore and Mullingar Women's Sheds yesterday - says she's also working on setting up a formal national network, similar to that in the men's shed movement:
Any Women's Shed interested in availing of funding should get in touch with the Department of Rural and Community Development via womenssheds@drcd.gov.ie.
