Kevin and Sheila Maher hand over the reigns to Evergreen Care
A large midlands nursing home is in new ownership.
Evergreen Care has acquired Esker Rí Nursing Home in Clara, which serves 143 residents and was previously under the stewardship of the Maher family.
The purchase was completed on June 1st and, along with Oakdale Nursing Home in Portarlington, brings the company's portfolio to 11 facilities.
In a statement to Midlands 103, Evergreen Care CEO Eamonn Prone said:
“We are delighted to welcome the Esker Rí team to Evergreen Care and we are looking forward to continuing to be an important part of the local community in Clara and its environs, while building on the excellent work of Sheila Maher and her entire team. We have been tremendously impressed by the quality of the facility and the staff and now that they have joined our group, we can assure the residents and their families that we intend to bring significant benefits to all by following our approach of caring for our staff to ensure that we have a happy, stable, and experienced team to care for our residents.”
