A list of Ireland's 20 best pubs has been unveiled by Lonely Planet, including one from Co. Offaly and Laois.
The world renowned travel guide narrowed down our 7-thousand bars for the list that it says people should bookmark for their next trip.
The Gravediggers in Glasnevin in Dublin, Dick Mack's in Dingle, Wicklow's Mickey Finns and Mother Macs in Limerick are all included.
However, JJ Houghs Singing Pub in Banagher, Offaly and Morrissey's in Abbeyleix, Laois sat proudly among some well-known Irish pubs.
JJ Houghs in Banagher is a 250 year old pub long celebrated for it's charm, warmth and is a great stopping off point for boating on the River Shannon.
Morrissey's pub in Abbeyleix, transports you back in time to the 1900s. This treasure of a pub withstood the onslaught of modernization and dates back to 1775, when it initially opened as a grocery store.
