Ruairi McNamee opens up about the struggles of Rhode through 2021.
Rhode's 2022 county title meant more to the club because of the grief their players went through in 2021.
That's according to Ruairi McNamee who scored a crucial goal in the final, leading Rhode to a 1-9 to 0-11 victory over Tullamore in O'Connor Park.
The club and parish were rocked by the deaths of Dean Morris and Emmet Mayon last year.
McNamee says there was a lot of emotion released when they returned to the top of Offaly football this September:
