Delegates will vote on the measure to revert to last year's structure at Glenisk O'Connor Park on Tuesday.
The new competition structure for the Offaly Football Championships might be destined for the scrapheap.
Durrow and Ferbane are bringing a motion to the county board's monthly meeting next week that would seek to re-instate the 2023 format.
As things stand, unless the current structure is struck out on Tuesday evening, the championship will see no teams eliminated through the entirety of the group phase of the competition.
Each top team from each group will play the bottom clubs from the groups.
The losing quarter final teams will then be pitched in to a relegation battle with all four taking part in semi-finals to determine a relegation final.
