The 71st edition of the 161.6 kilometre stage race begins at 11:35am from Portlaoise this morning and continues until Sunday.
The race will begin in Portlaoise, with riders heading toward Kilmallock, Co. Limerick for the first stage of the competition.
The route will guide the riders through Abbeyleix, Ballacolla, Rathdowney, Errill, Clonmore, Templemore and Borrisoleigh, before reaching the first climbs of Rás Tailteann 2026 in the Silvermines at Dolla.
