Six British Sides Await Champions League Draw

Europa League and Conference League qualifiers follow the draw this evening.

Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Celtic and Rangers are in the draw for the Champions League Group stage later today. 

32 teams will be split into four groups of eight, with the matches to take place between September and November. 

No clubs from the same country can be drawn in the same group. 

The draw starts in Istanbul at 5pm. 


At Tallaght Stadium tonight, Shamrock Rovers enter their Europa League play off with Ferencvaros 4-0 down from the first leg. 

Whatever happens, the Hoops do have the consolation of Conference League Group stage football. 

Kick off is at 8. 


In the Conference League play offs this evening, West Ham bring a 3-1 cushion to Denmark where they play Viborg.

Linfield are tied at 2 goals apiece with Latvian club RFS ahead of their match at Windsor Park.
