Stars' dad played for Buccs'
There is an interesting link between All Blacks superstar Beauden Barrett and Buccaneers as his dad Kevin, known as 'Smiley' played with the Buccs when he lived in County Meath.
Barrett senior played in the second row for the Athlone based side in the 2000/2001 AIL Division 1 season.
He often brought his three sons Beauden, Jodie and Scott with him to games and was a very popular member of the squad under manager at the time Pat Hynes.
All three of the Barrett brothers are on the New Zealand squad and all could see action against Ireland on Saturday in the World Cup quarter-finals.
