Cillian Farrell talks about Edenderry's historic achievement and the future of hurling in Offaly.
A former All Ireland winner with Offaly fears it may take years before the Faithful county finds itself at the highest level of hurling again.
Cillian Farrell was an All Ireland winner in 1998, the same year Edenderry last won a county title in hurling.
24 years later the former Meath manager came off the bench to score a goal in Edenderry's junior championship victory at O'Connor Park last weekend.
The 45 year old greatly enjoyed his cameo but won't be featuring on the panel beyond last weekend.
The former Meath and Na Fianna manager is currently awaiting a hip replacement.
