Laois, Offaly and Westmeath are all in action.
Offaly and Westmeath are both looking for their first win in the senior championship today.
The faithful make the long trip to the sunny south east to face Wexford in Chadwicks Wexford Park.
Offaly are aiming to get off the mark after an opening day defeat to Tipperary, while their opponents tasted success in their first outing against Limerick.
It's a 2:30pm start with Ray Kelly in the middle.
Westmeath are also up against it to get their first win of the championship.
The lake county put in a spirited showing against Galway last week despite the scoreline and now come up against Kilkenny in TEG Cusack Park this afternoon.
Another difficult challenge is on the cards and you'd have to feel that they've been unlucky drawing both 2020 All-Ireland finalists in the group stage.
They will have a better chance of picking up a victory against Clare in their final game you'd think.
They start in Mullingar at 2pm.
Meanwhile in the intermediate championship Laois have their first taste of championship action.
They play host to Derry in O'Moore Park from 2pm.
John Desmond's team will know a win today is crucial if they're serious about making the quarter-finals, with tests against Kerry and Tipperary's 2nd team coming hot on the heels of this.
Derry were in the same position as Laois, fighting relegation in the league so will be expecting an even contest.
Laois have high expectations to live up to from 2020 having reached the semi-finals before bowing out to Antrim.
But they will begin another assault on the intermediate grade in high spirits today despite a few lingering injuries in the camp.
