Athlone Duo Start As Team News For Return Of Rugby Announced

There's a double header of inter-pros this weekend.

Munster have given starts to their two new South African signings for tomorrow's return of the Pro 14 against Leinster

R-G Snyman and Damien de Allende are both in the starting team, while full back Matt Gallagher will make his debut off the bench.

Peter O'Mahony, Conor Murray and Keith Earls are also included in a strong starting 15,

Leinster are also close to full strength, Athlone's Robbie Henshaw starts at inside centre with James Ryan and Tadhg Furlong the ony notable absentees.

Ryan Baird takes his place in the second row alongside Scott Fardy.

Cian Healy, Andrew Porter, Josh van der Flier, Johnny Sexton, Garry Ringrose and James Lowe also start.

Another Athlone man will start for his province this weekend, Jack Carty has been named at fly half for Connacht's clash with Ulster at the Aviva on Sunday. 

Bundee Aki will make his 100th appearance for Connacht in that game.

The Irish international joins Tom Farrell in the centre.

Alex Wooton and Peter O'Sullivan will make their debuts on the wings. 

 

Alby Mathewson and Ian Madigan will both make their first Ulster appearances off the bench.

John Cooney and Billy Burns make up the starting half-backs, while Jacob Stockdale starts at full back.
