Athlone have met Shels in the FAI Cup final and President's Cup final in the last 12 months.
Athlone Town will take part in a brand new tournament this weekend.
The Women's Premier Division team will begin their first ever All Island Women's Cup campaign at home to old rivals Shelbourne.
Tommy Hewitt's side are placed in group A and will also face off against Galway United and Linfield over the course of the next few weeks.
