Athlone Town Aiming To Go Back To Back In 1st Divison

It'll be the first time they've done so since 2019.

Athlone Town will look to make it back to back wins in the SSE Airtricity League first division this evening. 

Their first win of the season against Cobh Ramblers on Friday lifted them off the bottom of the table at the expense of this evening's opponents Wexford. 

Goals from Jack Reynolds and Ronan Manning earning Adrian Carberry's side the spoils. 

It's a 7.45 kick-off in the south east.

If successful, it'll be the first time they've won two games in a row since defeating Cobh and Wexford in February and March of 2019.

Elsewhere in the First Division, Cobh host leaders Bray Wanderers, 

Third placed Cabinteely are at home to Galway and Longford Town face UCD.
