Athlone Town Climb To Sixth With Win Over Cobh Ramblers

Dean Ebbe picked up two goals for Town.

Athlone Town maintained a strong home record in the League of Ireland First Division on Friday with a win over Cobh Ramblers.

The midlanders have now won four and drawn two of their six home games this season, after a 2-1 victory over the Cork side.

Dean Ebbe opened the scoring in 41st minute, and then doubled his tally ten minutes in to the second half.

Cobh got one back through Brendan Frahill but Athlone held on to pick up a third straight win.

Dario Castelo's side now move up to sixth in the table.
