It's the second game of a tough opening to their WNL season.
Athlone Town suffered a second defeat in the Women's National League last night.
Hosts Galway United came out on top 3-0 with a hat-trick from striker Lynsey McKey.
The scoreline didn't reflect the performance of the midlanders, with one of those goals conceded in second half stoppage time.
The town were a goal down at the break following an even first half in Eamon Deecy park in Galway, McKey finding the net for the hosts after 35 minutes.
Tommy Hewitt's side pushed for an equaliser in the second period but came undone in the 72nd minutes when the in form striker found the net for the second time.
McKey struck for her hat-trick in the 92nd minute, condemning the league newcomers to a second defeat in as many games.
They've a quick turnaround - next in action against unbeaten Shelbourne on Saturday evening.
