Athlone Town Prepared To Take On Promotion Rivals UCD

It's a second-play-third contest in Belfield today.

Dario Castelo says his side are prepared to face "one of the best" teams in the League of Ireland First Division this evening.

The Athlone Town manager believes both UCD and the midlanders have a similar playing style they're trying to achieve.

Town come in to the contest off the back of a 1-0 victory over Treaty United, while UCD are unbeaten in eight outings.

However in that run they've collected only two victories.

The two sides played out a 2-2 all draw when they last met in May.

Castelo says his players are ready to take on their promotion rivals:

Elsewhere league leaders Cork City travel to take on Wexford, it's Bray against Longford, Finn Harps host Kerry, and Treaty face Cobh Ramblers.

All games, including the action in Belfield, kick off this evening at 7.45pm.
