Ian Ryan's side gained a point thanks to Aaron Connolly's stunning free kick in the 71st minute, which cancelled out Declan McDaid's seventh minute opener.
The draw moves the midlanders onto 19 points with two games remaining in the First Division.
They travel to Dublin for their final away game of the season to take on UCD this Friday.
