Athlone Town Remain Bottom Of First Division After Defeat To UCD

Town are now 14 games without a win.

Athlone Town remain without a win since May after another defeat in the League of Ireland First Division. 

Ian Ryan's side were beaten 2-1 at home to UCD in Lissywollen last night, which now leaves them bottom of the table on 17 points, eight points off ninth place Longford Town. 

Cole Omorehiomwan gave the hosts the lead, but their opponents responded through Adam Brennan's first half strike before Hugh Smith's scored a 77th minute winner.

Town are back in action on Friday night as they take on Dundalk.
