Athlone Town's Unbeaten LOI Run Has Ended

The Midlanders were on a 10-game streak.

Athlone Town's unbeaten run in the League of Ireland has come to an end. 

The First Division outfit were beaten 1-0 by Bray Wanderers last night at the Carlisle Ground.

The loss ends a sequence of ten games without defeat for the Midlanders.

Christian Magerusan's 27th minute penalty was the difference between the two sides. 

That result leaves Athlone in fourth place in the league standings with Bray in third. 

Elsewhere, Cork City continued their March to automatic promotion they were 4-1 winners over Cobh, Finn Harps and UCD drew 1-all,  Kerry beat Longford 2-1, and Treaty United beat Wexford 1-0.
