Athlone's Powell Sets Personal Best in Winning National Swimming Title

Robbie Powell was the only competitor to beat the four minute mark in the 400 metres Freestyle.

Athlone's Robbie Powell posted a personal best time when winning a national title at the Irish Open Swimming Championships yesterday.

He was the only man to beat the four-minute mark when winning the 400 metres Freestyle final at the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin.

Today is the second day of action at the five-day championships.
