Niall Rigney's side are guaranteed a return to the point where they exited the championship last year.
Ballinamere have won themselves an extended break from senior championship hurling, and their manager Niall Rigney says he's very happy about that.
Last year's beaten semi-finalists booked their return to the last four with a 2-23 to 0-9 point win over Kinnitty in Birr.
With remaining group stage games to be completed, as well as the championship's quarter finals, Ballinamere won't be hurling at least the end of September.
Rigney believes club and inter-county duty has proven a heavy load for his players.
He says they'll have to improve if they're to hope to progress into a final:
Elsewhere the result of the weekend came in Birr on Friday evening where Seir Kieran beat St Rynagh's 1-20 to 1-17.
Shinrone secured a timely win against Birr, 2-21 to 1-16.
And Coolderry secured a 0-21 point to 1-14 victory over Tullamore.
