Belgian Scoops €150,000 Prize In World Matchplay Darts

Van Den Bergh was a 100/1 outsider at the outset of the tournament.

Dimitri Van den Bergh secured his first major darts trophy last night.

The Belgian was crowned World Matchplay champion after beating Scotland's Gary Anderson 18-10 in the final in Milton Keynes.

Van den Bergh was making his debut at the tournament.

He picked up a check for €150,000 in the process.
