Big Weekend Of Underage GAA Action In The Midlands

Midlands teams are involved in seven Leinster championship games this weekend.

It's a big weekend of underage GAA action in the midlands.

Seven Leinster championship games take place across two age grades, in both codes over the next 48 hours. 

A feast of fixtures begins as Laois look to overturn Galway in the U20 hurling championship tonight from 7:30 in Portlaosie. 

Manager Enda Lyons has made three changes from the side the defeated Carlow. 

It's over to Birr on Saturday to see if Offaly can cause another upset against Dublin from half past twelve. 

They'll be sweating of the fitness of Cathal Kiely, with Luke O'Connor already on the sidelines. 

 

There's also a triple header of minor football quarter-finals across the region at the same time. 

It'll be Laois v Carlow, Meath v Westmeath and Offaly v Wicklow for a place in the semi-finals.

The action rounds off with two minor hurling last eight fixtures on Sunday.

First up at noon, it's the meeting of neighbours Offaly and Kildare in Newbridge. 

While 30 minutes later will see the throw in between Westmeath and Dublin in TEG Cusack Park.
