The Laois club missed out on an All Ireland final on Sunday.
Bansha was the venue for the Intermediate All Ireland semi-final between St Brigid's of Laois, and Kerry outfit, Clanmaurice.
Jackie Horgan scored the goal that put the Munster champions 1-6 to 0-5 in front of their Laois rivals at the break.
St Brigid’s got the first two scores of the second half but Clanmaurice stepped it up again, hitting four in a row and eventually moving seven points clear, with Horgan, and Patrice Diggin leading the scoring charge for the eventual winners.
Goals from Jessie Quinlan and Clodagh Tynan ensured a dramatic finale however, with Clanmaurice holding on to make the final by 1-15 to 2-10.
The defeat marks the end of a successful season for the Laois champions who were impressive county final winners over Camross.
Brigid's then beat Myshall of Carlow to book a place in the Leinster final where they overcame Naas in a single score game to claim a second championship of the campaign.
Clanmaurice will now look to defend their intermediate club crown in the All Ireland final in Croke Park in the coming weeks.
