Buccaneers Denied Third Connacht Senior League Title In A Row

Sligo were comfortable 49-17 winners in the end.

Buccaneers were denied a third successive Connacht Senior League title at the weekend.

The Athlone club were well beaten by Sligo by 49-17 in Hamilton Park in Strandhill. 

It's only the Connacht side' second title success as they ran in seven tries over the course of the 80 minutes. 

Buccaneers will now prepare for their opening game in the AIL on October 7th when they travel to St Mary's College.
