Buccaneers RFC Appoint Paul Byrne As New Head Coach

He takes over from Eddie O'Sullivan who was in the job for one season.

Paul Byrne has been appointed as the new head coach of the Buccaneers Rugby Club.

He replaces former Ireland head coach Eddie O'Sullivan as the Athlone Club's successor ahead of the upcoming season.

O'Sulllivan helped the Buccs to consolidate their position in Division 1B last season but departs after just one year.

Byrne will be assisted by Benny Gilligan and David Henshaw with Craig Milling returning as Senior Manager.

The midland's side will begin their Division 1B campaign away to St. Mary's College in October.
