Championship Action Resumes in Westmeath and Offaly.

8 fixtures will take place at Senior level in both counties.

GAA Championship action returns to the midlands this evening. 

The Westmeath Senior B Hurling Championship gets underway this evening with a 7:30 throw in at TEG Cusack Park in Mullingar. 

Brownstown meet Ballymore based Fr. Daltons in group one. 

Both will be looking to get a crucial win before facing Raharney's second string in their other game.

While in Offaly Senior Football gets underway with Ferbane vs Edenderry and Cappincur against Tullamore, both at 7:30.

Saturday evening's fixtures will see the beginning of the A Hurling championship in the Lake County.

Last years beaten county finalists Castletown Geoghegan face Lough Lene Gales at 7pm.

Finally then on Sunday, the plum tie of the Weekend in Westmeath. 

Clonkill begin their campaign for three in a row with a repeat of the 2018 decider against Raharney. 

Both will be looking to take an early scalp and grow in confidence in the restructured championship.

The other fixture on Sunday is the meeting of St.Brigid's and Cullion at 2pm. 

In Offaly on Sunday, Bracknagh and Shamrocks will do battle in Bord Na Mona O'Connor Park also at 2pm.
