The Irish sprint sensation takes time out from the closing stages of her season to chat to Midlands 103.
Rhasidat Adeleke is reflecting on the journey that brought her from competing in juvenile championships in Tullamore, to racing for Olympic glory in Paris for Ireland.
The Tallaghat AC runner claimed titles in the 100 and 200 metres in All Ireland Schools, as well National Junior and Intermediate competitions, on the Tullamore Harriers track in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Adeleke has since gone on to hold national records in all sprint distances at senior level.
The soon to be 22 year old won her first major medal when claiming silver at the European Championships earlier this year before just missing out on medals in the 400m individual, and the 4 x 400m women's relay at the Paris Olympics.
Adeleke says her time competing at the Offaly venue helped to build the athlete she is today:
Rhasidat Adeleke is speaking as an Allianz Ambassador who have just announced the renewal of their partnership with the Olympic Federation of Ireland.
