Championship Round-Up: Clough Ballacolla Face Rathdowney Errill In Laois County Final

Camross' title defence ended in Portlaoise yesterday.

It was a busy weekend in the midlands senior club championships.

The line up for this year's county final in Laois hurling is now known 

Clough Ballacolla will face Rathdowney Errill after the semi-final double header in Portlaoise yesterday.

The defending champions Camross were beaten by Clough Ballacolla 1-20 to 2-13. while Rathdowney Errill overcame Abbeyleix 1-19 to 3-10.

In Offaly, there's four clubs left standings in the senior hurling championship.

St Ryangh's victory over Birr secured them a semi-final spot against Ballinamere, while Coolderry's reward for a fine victory over Shinrone is a date with Kilcormac Killoughey.

While the final round of group games in Westmeath saw Casteltown Geoghegan top the standings and book their place in the county final after they beat St Oliver Plunkett's.

Clonkill will face Lough Lene Gaels in the semi-final, it was the Gaels who won the dress rehearsal for that game by two points yesterday evening.

While Raharney relinquish their championship despite beating Castlepollard 1-19 to 1-10.
