The Laois Senior Hurling Manager is looking ahead to their clash with Kilkenny.
The Laois Senior Hurling Manager says they have a "good platform to build on" after a narrow defeat to Dublin in the Leinster Championship last weekend.
After a two-point loss at Parnell Park, Laois travel to Nowlan Park this Saturday to take on Kilkenny.
Seamus 'Cheddar' Plunkett says he's pleased with their first performance of the campaign, especially with a lengthy injury list for this Leinster Championship:
"It's a good platform to build on. We're playing Kilkenny in Kilkenny next weekend and then we've three home games.
"We've just a shocking lot of injuries to first team players. If you look at our forward line this evening. Mark Kavanagh is missing, he's gone for the year. Ben (Conroy) is out for three or four games. Willie Dunphy, Picky (Stephen Maher), they're all out for three or four games. And we're just unfortunate with that."
