Clinical Offaly Claim First Win In National Camogie League

Laois and Westmeath suffered defeats in Division 2A.

Offaly secured their opening victory of the season in the National Camogie League over the weekend. 

The Faithful were 3-12 to 0-10 winners over Down in Division 1B in St Brendan's Park, with Clodagh Leahy finishing the game with 1-9. 

Elsewhere, Westmeath suffered a narrow defeat at home to Derry, as the Ulster side came away with a 0-12 to 0-10 win. 

Defeat leaves the Lake County on three points after three games in Division 2A. 

Finally, Meath proved too strong for Laois in the same division, as they Royals claimed a 2-16 to 1-8 victory, with Laois remaining on four points in the standings.
