Clubs in Laois, Offaly and Westmeath are through round one
Tullamore has started with a win in the defence of their Offaly senior football title.
They overcame a dogged Shamrocks side on a final scoreline of 2-17 to 2-9 at O'Connor Park in the opening round.
Johnny Moloney says his winning side has plenty of work to do if their to win county honours again. The Offaly captain also pays tribute to John Maughan who stood down his post managing the Offaly football team last week.
Westmeath's defending champions secured a facile first up win against Calury, while Laois hurling champs Clough Balla/Colla inflicted a heavy defeat on Castletown.
