Westmeath put in a good shift as they were defeated by Dublin

0-22 to 0-11 the final score in MW Hire O'Moore Park in Portlaoise on Saturday night. 

The Lake County trailed by 16 points to 6 at the interval in tough conditions, but rallied to hold the All-Ireland champions to just six scores in the final period.
