Cormac Izuchukwu Called Into Ireland Six Nations Squad

The Ulster player replaces Thomas Ahern.

Ireland will ramp their preparations for the Six Nations later today as a pre-tournament training camp in Portugal gets underway.

Andy Farrell's side begin their campaign away to France in Paris on Thursday week.

Injuries have played a key part in the squad selection, with loosehead prop a particularly challenging area as Andrew Porter, Paddy McCarthy and Jack Boyle are all injured.

Offaly's Cormac Izuchukwu has been called into the squad, replacing Munster's Thomas Ahern.

Connacht's Billy Bohan has been drafted in to provide an extra option - and Farrell says it's a big opportunity for the 20-year-old.
