McCabe is set to take over as the manager of the Cavan Senior footballers.

Westmeath GAA Chariperson Frank Mescall says they didn't see Dermot McCabe leaving his role as Westmeath Senior Football Manager.
McCabe is set to take over as the new manager of Cavan, the county he won an Ulster Championship with in 1997 and collected an All Star in the same year.
He leaves the position just a year into his term following relegation from Division Two in the league as well as a quarter final exit away to Wicklow in the Tailteann Cup.
Mescall says the ambition was to keep McCabe on for the next few years:
