The Offaly teenager returned to the top step of the podium with victory in Imola.
Alex Dunne leads the Formula Two championship after picking up his second feature race victory in the category.
The Clonbullogue racer was in dominant form, and streaked away from his competitors in the second half of the main Emilia Romagna F2 contest.
Dunne enjoyed a slice of fortune early in the race after Victor Martins failed to get off the line from third, and Leonardo Fornaroli was held in the pit lane after he and Dunne took early stops to get off the slower, harder tyres.
The McLaren junior driver then came out on top of a dust between himself, Dino Beganovic, and Luke Browning.
Beganovic surrendered his claim on the race after running wide, while Browning was passed by Dunne using DRS on lap 9.
Dunne then carved his way through the remainder of the field who were on the inverse strategy to hit the front with eight laps to go.
See ya! 👋
