FAI Cup Final Spot The Prize At Stake For Athlone This Weekend

Ciaran Kilduff's side are aiming to reach a second FAI Cup final in a row.

A chance to make history beckons for Athlone Town this weekend. 

Ciaran Kilduff's team take on Sligo Rovers in the semi-finals of the Women's FAI Cup on Saturday. 

The midlands side have had a dramatic run to the the last four having knocked both Bohemians and Peamount United out in penalty shootouts. 

Victory on Saturday will confirm a second consecutive appearance in the final, having competed in last year's final against Shelbourne. 

Speaking ahead of the game to Midlands 103's Liam White, Kilduff says his side are in a great place and are looking forward to the encounter:

Kick off on Saturday from the Showgrounds in Sligo is at 6:00pm.
