It was the final weekend of GAA inter-county action this year and there were good results for all local sides on Saturday in the O'Byrne Cup.
Offaly made it two wins from two when they beat Louth by 1-16 to 1-10 in Drogheda.
Laois were the narrow 1-12 to 1-11 winners against Wexford in Enniscorthy.
Westmeath and neighbours Meath drew 1-13 apiece in Mullingar.
In the Walsh Cup Dublin beat Westmeath by 1-22 to 0-17 at TEG Cusack Park in Mullingar.
Laois were the impressive 3-19 to 22 points winners against Carlow.
In the Kehoe Cup Offaly edged out Down by three points in Abbotstown winning by 1-24 to 2-18.
