First Division Opener Sees Athlone Town Served Up Derby Starter

Athlone Town can look forward to a midlands derby to kick of their League of Ireland First Division campaign next season.

A trip to Longford Town is first on the cards for Dermot Lennon and Gordon Brett's side on Saturday on the 18th of February.

Kerry FC’s first ever league game will be against Cobh Ramblers on Friday.

Shamrock Rovers will begin the defence of their Premier Division title away to Sligo Rovers. 

That game will take place on Saturday, February 18th.

The top flight season gets underway the night before, with Cork City entertaining Bohemians. 

FAI Cup-winners Derry City will be at home to St. Pat’s, Dundalk will play UCD and Shelbourne will be up against Drogheda
