Laura Mooney has become the first Tullamore Harrier since 1997 to be crowned Ireland U20 5,000m champion.
She achieved the feat last weekend in Dublin, blitzing the field in a championship record time of 16 minutes 31.66 seconds.
Mooney is on scholarship at Providence College in Rhode Island in the United States.
Another Harrier also made it to the top step.
James Dunne captured the U23 1,500m crown by five seconds, in a time of 3 minutes 52.35 seconds.
Dunne is also on scholarship in the US, this time in Colorado at Adams State University.
