Offaly and Laois suffered surprising defeats in the Leinster Championship.
The Offaly and Laois senior footballers are now waiting to find out who they'll face in the Tailteann Cup after both counties suffered disappointing Leinster Championship defeats yesterday.
Offaly were beaten by Division 4 strugglers Wexford by 1-15 to 1-12, denying John Maughan's side the opportunity to host Dublin next weekend in the quarter-finals.
John says that despite a lot of injuries, they're disappointed with the outcome:
The Laois footballers Leinster campaign also came to an end yesterday as they conceded five goals to Wicklow in Aughrim.
Playing with the wind in the first half, Wicklow built up an 11-point lead by the break.
It was a lead that Laois struggled to cut in the second half, and it ended 5-15 to 4-12.
Wicklow go on to face Meath in the quarter-finals next weekend.
Offaly and Laois now await the draw for the Tailteann Cup, which will begin in late May.
