Joe Fortune's backroom team was confirmed on Sunday.
Amidst the drama of senior hurling final day in Westmeath, the future backroom team for the lake county hurlers was officially finalised.
Joe Fortune brings in former Leinster title winner with Dublin Peter Kelly along with former Westmeath footballer Eddie Casey and Cork man Paul O'Donoghue.
O'Donoghue will act as 'lead coach', with Fortune describing him as an exciting an innovative appointment.
An All-Star in 2013, Kelly has been involved with his own club Lucan Sarsfields this season which delayed the confirmation until their year came to a conclusion.
Two strength and conditioning additions were also announced.
Westmeath's Joe Nangle and Richie Flynn of Wexford will fulfill those duties.
Nangle is also operating with the senior footballers in the Lake County.
New Westmeath senior hurling manager Joe Fortune has just announced his backroom team for the upcoming season.
