He was due to undergo an operation in hospital this morning.
There's been an outpouring of support in the GAA community for former Meath footballer and Castledaly manager Graham Geraghty who has been taken ill.
The 47-year-old was admitted to hospital last night with a serious illness and was expected to undergo an operation earlier this morning in the Beaumont hospital in Dublin.
Geraghty was Meath's last All-Ireland winning captain in 1999 and also captured the Sam McGuire three years earlier in 1996.
Tweets and messages of support for his wife and three kids have flooded in from across GAA circles.
Wishing Graham Geraghty a speedy recovery. Despite what county you're from and believe me he broke many an Offaly heart over the years, he was a remarkable footballer for @MeathGAA and Seneschalstown.

Graham needs all our prayers. Get well soon#GAA #GAAfamily
Thinking of the legend Graham Geraghty this morning as I'm sure all of Meath supporters and GAA people across the country are. He was a warrior on the pitch, that'll stand to him off it! 🙏🙏
