Donal O'Neill won an All-Ireland U21 title with Offaly in 1988.
A former Offaly and Edenderry footballer is being remembered as a "top class" goalkeeper.
Donal O'Neill passed away this week after a short illness.
He won two Leinster U21 medals with Offaly in 1986 and 1988, before helping the Faithful beat Cavan in the All Ireland U21 final in 1988.
O'Neill also won multiple Dowling Cups for his native club, returning to action in 1995 to help the club win their first championship title since 1985.
That led to Edenderry winning a further three titles between 1997-2001.
Edenderry GAA have extended their sympathies to Donal and his family and friends.
