Former Offaly Hurler Not In Favour Of New Cynical Fouling Rule

Michael Verney says it needs to be given a longer run in period for players.

Former Offaly hurler Michael Verney isn't in favour of a new rule to tackle cynical fouling in the game. 

A motion was passed at GAA congress on Saturday which will see a penalty and a sin bin handed out for a foul inside 20 metres  that's judged to be cynical. 

It passed with a majority of just 1%.
