After a difficult campaign last year, Paddy Purcell was considering calling it a day.
From hanging up his helmet and hurl, to playing the "best hurling of his career".
That man is Paddy Purcell according to Midlands 103 commentator Jack Nolan.
Purcell has been at his best for Laois in recent games which have seen the O'Moore County win the Division 2A league title, as well as racking up championship wins over both Offaly and Meath.
