Harrington Lands Silverware After Weekend Of Near Misses For The Irish

Shane Lowry left himself with too much to do on Sunday.

Despite delivering four rounds in the sixties, Shane Lowry finished a distant tied-for-19th at the Travelers Championship.

Lowry bookended his week with rounds of 64 but 69's on Friday and Saturday left the 2019 Open Champion with too much to do on Sunday.

Rory McIlroy found himself in a similar position yesterday after a slow start to his meant that his charge up the leaderboard always had its limitations.

Padraig Harrington is celebrating another victory on the Champions Tour.

The Dubliner carded a back nine of 28 on his way to retaining the title at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open in New York.

Harrington finished on 18-under-par, one shot clear of Joe Durant in second.
