Henshaw On The Bench For Six Nations Clash With England

Johnny Sexton makes his return to the starting XI though.

Robbie Henshaw has been named on the bench for Ireland's trip to Twickenham this weekend.

Bundee Aki and Garry Ringrose are the preferred centre partnership for the Six Nations clash with England on  Saturday.

Head coach Andy Farrell has made six changes in total to his 23-man squad.

Johnny Sexton makes his return to the starting XI though, having come on as a replacement against Italy.

Cian Healy has also been named to start in the front row, with Andrew Porter ruled out through injury, along with starting roles for James Ryan and Andrew Conway too.

Connacht's Mack Hansen is the noticeable omission. James Lowe will start on the left wing.

Farrell says there were a number of tight selection calls:

Meanwhile, England head coach Eddie Jones believes his side are the "massive underdogs" in the must-win game.

Both teams need a victory at Twickenham to keep their hopes of lifting the championship alive:

Sam Simmonds and Joe Marchant have both been brought into the England starting XI from the one that beat Wales.
