Hockey Ireland Abandon This Season's E-Y Leagues

They announced their decision this lunchtime.

Hockey Ireland have abandoned this season's E-Y Hockey Leagues due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions.

Irish hockey's governing body's chairperson Eric Brady says it's "disappointing" for clubs and players but they were running out of time to get the leagues completed.

The association are aiming to provide alternative competitions once they receive the green light from the government to resume games.
