The pressure is "on the Aussies" ahead of the Republic of Ireland's World Cup opener tomorrow, according to Midlands 103 commentator, Gerry Buckley.
Vera Pauw's side will make their debut in the competition against co-hosts Australia in the Sydney Football Stadium in front of 80 thousand fans.
Their group will then see them play the Olympic champions in Canada, and finally Nigeria in the their last group game.
